WHAT A MULTI-DAY TOUR CAN LOOK LIKE
To give you a sense of what is possible, here are a few examples of how tours can be structured around natural routes and sequences. These are starting points, not fixed itineraries.
One of the most rewarding sequences on the island links Newgrange, one of the world's oldest prehistoric monuments, with Belfast and the Antrim Coast. Begin at those 5,000-year-old passage tombs in the Boyne Valley and let the scale of Irish history settle before heading north into Belfast, where the murals, Peace Walls, and Titanic Quarter bring an entirely different chapter of that history to life. From Belfast, the Antrim Coast road takes you east and north through the Glens of Antrim toward the Giant's Causeway, one of the great natural spectacles anywhere on earth. Few journeys compress so much into so little distance.
Heading west from Belfast opens up a different Ireland entirely. A tour through Derry and into Donegal leads you along some of the most dramatic and least-visited coastline in Europe. From there, winding south through Connemara and arriving into Galway is as good a way to end a trip as any. The city has the kind of energy that makes you want to stay another day.
For those focused on the south and west, a tour built around the Ring of Kerry, the Cliffs of Moher, and the Wild Atlantic Way is a natural sequence, with stops at Killarney, Kenmare, and the Burren linking the journey together. GIANT'S CAUSEWAY AND CAUSEWAY COAST
One of the most popular choices for any Ireland itinerary is the Giant's Causeway and Causeway Coast. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the most photographed landscapes in the world, and for very good reason: 40,000 interlocking basalt columns rise from the sea in a formation that looks almost too perfect to be natural. Robert has exceptional knowledge of this extraordinary stretch of coastline, including the Game of Thrones filming locations that draw visitors from across the globe.
Having worked on the HBO production himself, he brings a depth of behind-the-scenes knowledge and personal stories that no guidebook can match. A full day on the Causeway Coast with RM Executive Transport can include the Giant's Causeway, Dunluce Castle, the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, and the famous Dark Hedges, all at your own pace and with expert commentary throughout.
